What a lovely post, the man with the dog is particularly moving. xxx
ReplyDeleteYes, it just kind of gets you, doesn't it? x
DeleteThis is such a lovely act of remembrance! I love the photo of the man and his dog x
ReplyDeleteYes, that photo is my favourite.x
DeleteGreat post. We must keep on remembering.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sens. Hope you're keeping well. x
DeleteLovely, Annie!
ReplyDeleteOur daughter's family lost a beloved pet today. So sad.
Oh no, not the lovely pussycat? Sorry to hear that. x
DeleteThey lost one of their dogs. He just up and died. They aren't sure why.
Deletemissed this post, wasn't showing in my reading list :( lovely pics - I bet the animals that served were loved and valued, an important part of morale boosting too.
ReplyDeleteYes, we mustn't ever forget the animals' contributions to the war efforts.
DeleteBeautiful work.
ReplyDeleteHi, via Betty's blog
Thank you for popping in gz. The tapestry was designed by a friend and now it's come to live permanently in the Scottish Borders in its own state of the art exhibition building, which is a lovely trainride away for me when I visit.
DeleteBeautiful sentiments and I love that the animals are included. The artwork would make a wonderful wool hooked rug too. Thank you for sharing the beautiful artwork.
ReplyDeleteBTW, yes, Brooke Shields was terrible but I loved the cozy pub and the castle....my relatives were from Ireland and if it wasn't for my children and grands I would move there. From the time I was little I always loved horses and the land. My Aunt would always say "that's the Irish in you"...lol! You live in such an unspoiled part of the world and haven't "modernized" except in the big cities. If it wasn't for women's rights, I would love to live in "the old days".
