Lockdown Birthday Girls 2021........

Another year around the sun and what a year it's been!

Son Number Two - The Best Daddy to his little brood
At the weekend, this here Gorgeous Girl had a birthday; social distancing was observed; hugs and kisses were thrown into the air; standing on the freezing cold doorstep singing Happy Birthday; she made the best of it because that's how she is; kind, caring, thoughtful, brilliant personality; I hope life will be kind to her (and her sister) when I'm no longer around to fend off any adversaries!
Then, the next day it was my turn; filled the day by flower-arranging with the huge amount of daffies and tulips so kindly and generously sent to me by my pal, Betty and which certainly helped to lift an otherwise gloomy day, weather-wise; arranged all my lovely cards from very kind people; answered lots of text and what's app messages and was amazed at the amount of FB wishes sent from all corners of the world; more flower-arranging with flowers sent by family; heavy-scented incense sticks sent in my birthday parcel from a sister, alongwith a trendy diary; chocolates from my neighbour wrapped in quirky 'Scottish' paper, made in China!

Peonies in January; such a treat.
Nearly a whole year since this friendly little fella' came into our lives and enchanted us all; let's hope we can all get together under the same roof on his special day.

Keep safe; keep well everyone.

  3. Happy Birthday to you dear Anne ... what beautiful cards & flowers you received. That incense will be wonderful & if its too strong then tuck it away in your clothes drawers or your linen cupboard. xx

    1. Thanks Julie. I just replied to Vix, saying I'd shoved them in a drawer because the smell is quite intense! Maybe the potency will diminish through time!x

    1. Thanks Sam. I am an Aquarian. I had haggis, turnip and potatoes for my birthday treat because I share the same day as Scotland's National Bard, Robert Burns! x
