Well, here we are, nearly at Summer's end. We've had beach days and trips-to-the-museum days (in the rain) and Highland Games days and a couple of lovely days spent at the seaside again to attend a spin-off from the Edinburgh International Festival which is going on right now. I saw Alexander McCall Smith talking about his life and works and two days later, I went to see Eddi Reader (onetime lead singer with the band 'Fairground Attraction'). I much prefer the seaside venues as opposed to joining the crowds in the big city, although having said that, I've bought myself a ticket to go and see Sue Perkins talking about her new book at the Book Festival. I can do an afternoon gig with ease!
There were also a couple of allotment days to check the progress at my sister's 'patch'. Everything is benefitting from the rain, especially the slugs and snails but we think we've got it covered now (pun intended). We'll be harvesting soon and can't wait to try some 'we grew it ourselves' produce. It's such a shame that our foodbanks can't take fresh produce because some of the other allotments are absolutely burgeoning with fruit and veg and unfortunately, a lot of it seems to go to waste, assuming it's not given away.

I hope you've all had a great Summer and although I haven't been posting much, it's been great to catch-up with everyone and find out what you've been up to.

Come back soon.
