Tomorrow is a very special day for me. It marks the first stage of my semi-retirement and it will be the first Monday in a long, long time that I don't have to get up with the alarm.
I will be working reduced hours as from next week so only have to get up early on two mornings (well, three really because the middle of the week is my 'Nana' duty day but the need to get up early feels totally different for that!).

The jury's still out about how I'm feeling about being fully-retired. There are certain elements of my job that I know I will miss......but there are more of them that I certainly won't!

'Til next time.

DeleteHow wonderful & exciting! I am so pleased for you & you will make the adjustment so easily I am sure .... won't be long & you will think to yourself "how on earth did I ever manage it all those extra days".
ReplyDeleteThank you Julie. I have some ambition plans which involve uncovering my sewing machine from under the debris that has accumulated in my boxroom. Wish me luck!
Delete'ambitious'!

DeleteEnjoy! I took a week off and did get half the stuff done I needed to do. I bet you will find plenty to keep you busy.
ReplyDeleteThank you for passing by, Bonnie K. Yes,there is no shortage of things that other people want me to do!
DeleteI'll just say it: I'm jealous! I am roundly jealous! Seriously though, it takes such commitment to reach the point that you have. Well done!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much The Liberty Belle (great name!). Not sure about commitment as much as financial necessity but I'm glad I've reached this point relatively unscathed!
DeleteI hope your first week has gone really well. I "officially retired" nearly ten years ago but I still work a bit. I love it!
ReplyDeleteYep, Frugally challenged, no problem at all. In fact, I'm now having to push myself to go out to work just for the two days I have to!
