The Edible Garden......
.......well, technically nothing from my own garden is edible as yet but last week, I went along to my ex-place-of-employment and gathered some redcurrants from the burgeoning bushes! Here is the result....
Can't do much in life but I can always make you something fabulous to eat and even if I do say so myself, my Redcurrant Jelly tastes divine!!
Hope everyone's well and enjoying whichever season is visiting your shores, near and far.
Thanks for recent comments. Great to hear from you.
Back soon.

The Wheels on the Bus....
Pinch punch second of the month! Typical me, chasing my tail as per! My car's very sick this week so I'm left without transport for ...

I miss making red currant jelly. My dad had a big bush if them, but when the moved from the country to a townhouse, the bush and my berries stated behind. It was always my son's favorite
ReplyDeleteThanks Sam. It tastes delicious.
DeleteThat looks absolutely lovely! I've never had redcurrant jelly and the birds always get to my crop before I do. I bet it's gorgeous with some baked feta. xxx
ReplyDeleteThanks Vix. I'll try it with the Feta.
DeleteHow talented you are Anne, I'm no cook and so the thought of making Jam or Jelly is amazing to me! x
ReplyDeleteIt's easy-peasy to make, Libs. Not as difficult as you would imagine.x
DeleteHow wonderful to make something delicious out of what Mother Nature provides!
ReplyDeleteJust found this comment in my spam box, sorry Sandra. Redcurrant Jelly is so delish. I think Mother Nature would approve!
DeleteGreat to be so creative! Is your foot fully better now? I fell over again this morning on a walk, tripped over a tree root. Heaven must have been watching over me, as I didn't hear anything crack. I have been diagnosed with osteoporosis after broken wrist, so I am really tempting fate going for walks on my own on uneven ground. Have you been given osteoporosis test likewise?
ReplyDeleteOh dear, Sens. That's not good. Good shoes or trainers are the key! I got signed off from Physiotherapist last Thursday but I'm still not able to bend my foot as I previously could. Also, with hot weather, the ankle swells (pins probably) and the Physio said to wear thick socks and boots in the winter to protect it! At this rate, I'll be wearing those indoors anyway, judging by my energy company's desires to take even more money from my bank account! No, I haven't been a test for osteo as yet.
