It was rather hot for Jolly today. Look he's trying to undo his top button. So we took ourselves off to the seaside to cool down.
There are lots of nice houses by this particular beach with artfully decorated exteriors.
| This lovely couple were made from wire mesh. Think they might look a bit spooky on a dark and stormy night when the waves are lashing the shore nearby! |
After a long walk along the prom, it was time for refreshments so we made our way to my favourite little indie restaurant where I ordered Croque Monsieur and a nice cup of tea. Jolly had a nice bran scone with strawberry jam and shared my pot of tea.
I like the wire people, they would look nice with a solar lamp where their hearts are so they looked all loved up at night. Hope Jolly gets loved up soon.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea on the solar lamp. x
DeleteClever use of the jam thermometer there! What lovely surroundings on the walk too. Oh I do like to be beside the sea side...
ReplyDeleteI was just saying to my sister, I've only ever lived in one place that was landlocked. I love being beside the sea. x
DeleteThose exteriors of those houses are amazing Anne - I was peering really closely at my screen to see those wonderful ideas. Lucky You & Lucky Jolly getting to see them & also share that wonderful lunch together. xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Julie. It's a lovely part of that town, beside the sea. Part of my old stomping ground. x
